No Toil Nor Labor Fear

This was the theme of St. David's Annual Pioneer day celebration. We headed down for the festivities this last weekend. This included having a float in the parade, chasing greased pigs, the water balloon toss, water balloon capture the flag, the donut eating contest, community bar-b-que, etc.

Shay and Kinsey finished their summer synchronized swimming season this last week. They both did GREAT! They had a good coach that has competed in some national competitions. So, honey gets home from his weekly trip to Home Depot (we're working on the lawn mower) and this is what I see....

Me: What the heck is on your rear?

Him: What do you mean???

Me:(ripping the sock that is velcroed to both of his back pockets and showing it to him)

Him: You mean I walked around Home Depot for 30 minutes with that on me???AWWWWW MAN!!!

Grand time at the Grand Canyon

We took an impromptu trip to the Grand Canyon this past weekend. The kids got out of school, we had a long weekend...why not??? The kids had never been to see it.....we were reminded that it truly is one of the 7 wonders of the world!! Here are a few pics.



Believe it or not, it was quite nippy in this part of AZ at the end of May. We even got some rain.

You have NO idea what a feat it was to get Kevin to even step foot off the trail. He was so paranoid of falling:)
