Have you ever watched a movie that had a good story, fun actors, cool special effects but you left thinking..."if only it didn't have the language, this would be a great movie." Or, "if this movie didn't have that one scene I could feel comfortable about letting my kids watch this." I mean, what do those words or scenes really add to the movie anyway??? NOTHING!! We used to be members of the Family Flix franchise before they got sued and put out of business. We were so bummed when that wasn't an option anymore. WELL, we now have another alternative...it's called the Clear Play DVD and filter. For more info go to clearplay.com and read up on this cool new gizmo. It is basically a DVD player that you download movie filters onto. You can choose the setting...G, PG etc. We just finished watching The Dark Knight....less all the cussing, I think it may have skipped a violent scene or two (not sure). We didn't miss a thing. When new movies come out on DVD new filters are added to the web site. You can either pay a monthly fee to download...or you can go online 1 or 2x a year and pay to download the newest filters. There are thousands of movies to choose from that have already had filters made. Not a bad deal for a mere $80...

Ever since Dan and you both got this, Brian has been VERY interested. We'd like to try it out at your house sometime!
I have been hearing about this a lot, what a great way to limit what comes in the home! Is it $80 for the player itself? Thanks for the info, we'll have to check it out.
