Shayster!

Shay: Dad, listen to the poem I wrote for my Social Studies class.
Dad: okay
Shay: reads poem
Dad: That's really good, you didn't go online, find a poem and change a few words around...did you?

What do you suppose this is??

Last night I found this container, filled with these items, sitting in my pantry. I asked Steve what the heck it was supposed to be and he chuckled, telling me that he saw Kinsey putting this little "kit" together. If you can't tell it's 4 containers filled with water, a box of hot chocolate mix and a glass. When Steve asked Kinsey what she was doing she replied that she was getting her own 72 hour kit ready.:) Is she the cutest or what?

R.A.I.N.

Ever gone running in the rain??? We got drenched...as it started raining harder and harder we just laughed harder and harder. By the end of the run our hands were cold, our pants were sticking to our legs, and our shoes were sloshy. At least we had the canal all to ourselves:)

You can tell we're desert folks. We LOVE when it rains. Here is Kinsey enjoying the rain in the back yard.

Another laugh courtesy of Kevin

Every morning the kids pack up the lunch their father has made for them. He always
writes a little positive message on the kids sandwhich bag. They pretend that they're
embarrassed by it, but really they love to see what it will say each day. Here is the note
from Wendesday.

When I came home for lunch that day this is what I saw sitting on the stove....apparently he
didn't want a turkey sandwhich:) What a character...
